What is Pay Per Click Advertising (PPC)?
Pay Per Click Advertising may be used in conjunction with Search Engine Optimization to maximize your small business website exposure to your target market. PPC refers to creating specific ads for your primary keywords, and then setting maximum bid amounts that determine the ranking of your ad relative to your competitors. Each time a prospective customer clicks on your ad, you are charged an amount up to your maximum set bid amount. Daily or monthly budgets are setup in advance to ensure that you are not charged more than you planned. This is also referred to as creating sponsored listings.
Although we feel that the best (and least expensive) long-term approach to search engine success is to optimize your website for free quality rankings, PPC can be particularly advantageous in the following situations:
